Jennifer Lopez is set to star in a new Netflix movie.

The Wedding Planner star is preparing to embark on another romantic comedy venture, appearing alongside Ted Lasso actor Brett Goldstein in Office Romance.

The new movie is believed to have been the subject of an intense bidding war, with Netflix coming out on top.

Office Romance will be the third time Lopez has starred in a Netflix movie following her roles in The Mother and Atlas.

Lopez’s outing in action thriller The Mother proved a big hit for Netflix, having appeared in the streaming service’s 10 most-watched movies of all time and named the most-watched Netflix film of 2023.

Office Romance has been co-written by Bret Goldstein and Joe Kelly, and the irreverent romcom is rumoured to feature a series of memorable character actor roles. A director is not yet attached to the project.

Aaron Ryder and Andre Swett for Ryder Picture Company will produce the title, alongside Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina for Nuyorican Films.

Nuyorican Film’s Courtney Baxter will serve as an executive producer.

Lopez recently attended the Toronto Film Festival with the Amazon MGM Studios sports drama Unstoppable.

Goldstein was also in attendance with the MRC romance drama All of You.
