Rob Pattinson: Hollywood wannabes are funny
Robert Pattinson was "so embarrassed" filming a sex scene in his latest movie.
Robert Pattinson doesn't find Hollywood wannabes "totally unlikeable".
The Twilight actor will next be seen in Maps to the Stars, in which he plays a limo driver with Hollywood ambitions. He stars alongside Julianne Moore as a has-been actress who would do anything to be in the limelight.
"Julianne's character, I've definitely met people a lot like her," he admitted to British magazine Heat. "It's not in a totally unlikable way. I've hung out with people like that - they're fun to be around. They're desperate to please. I always find people like that quite entertaining."
For the young actor, finding success in a huge franchise like the Twilight Saga was daunting. But he felt able to handle it because of the people who were already in his life.
"I think I had a good set of friends before," he added. "When your entire social life is based around people you meet after you get famous, that's when you have no foundation and it gets a bit weird."
In Maps to the Stars, Robert and Julianne share a steamy sex scene. While he's used to getting hot and heavy on camera, it's still nerve wracking.
"It was so hot in Toronto [where the movie was shot], and she's one of these people... she doesn't sweat at all!" he recalled. "But I sweat like a f**king crazy person. And I was trying to literally catch drops of sweat to stop them hitting her back! Afterwards she was like 'Are you having a panic attack?' It was so embarrassing."
