Emilia Clarke rejected Fifty Shades due to the 'huge amount of nudity'
The Game of Thrones actress was reluctant to strip off for fear of being typecast.
Emilia Clarke - best known for playing the clothes-shy Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series Game of Thrones - was in line to play the part of Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey film.
Clarke has revealed that she turned down the lead in the adaptation of E.L. James' best-selling novel because she was worried about being typecast.
The 28-year-old explained: "I really wanted to work with [director] Sam Taylor-Johnson because she's f***ing amazing. But there is a huge amount of nudity in the film.
"I'll never say 'I'm never doing nudity' because I've already done it, but I thought I might get stuck in a pigeonhole that I would have struggled to get out of."
Meanwhile, the actress stars as Sarah Connor alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the much-anticipated Terminator Genisys and has revealed the extent of her preparation for the role.
She told the July issue of Marie Claire magazine: "Those f***ing guns are super heavy.
"You're running with them a lot of the time, and I needed to keep up with/be better than the boys.
"I needed to to know what to do to have Arnold go, 'Very nice'. That was my goal."
